Sometimes you just need something like “LA Confidential” in your life. Cookin’ Soul has that ill West production down to a science, the beat is on point. Nipsey Hussle and YG put it down but Blanco, I wasn’t feeling Blanco on this cut. This is the first cut off of Nipsey and Blanco’s upcoming collaborative project, RAW, which is set to drop on April 17th.

According to Skee, the mutual respect and support has been there since their initial meeting. Today, Nipsey and Skee are officially teaming up in attempt to “change the music industry”. During a recent radio interview, the two announced their new partnership, and that more announcements will soon follow. Nipsey also added that the two can create an impact on the Web, sharing that new up and coming artists have been able to control the Internet and media. As the interview came to an end, Skee and Nipsey were secretive but they teased that more news is on the way. Full interview after the jump.

After hearing rumors about Nipsey signing with Maybach Music Group, earlier this morning he announced his new partnership with DJ Skee’s Skee Music imprint. Let’s hope to hear a new album later this year.

“The separation between artists and their labels is the reason a lot of things don’t work. When people get together and pull resources, it makes it better for everybody” stated Nipsey in an interview with Skee announcing the partnership on Sirius XM Satellite Radio. “It’s 2012 and we saw the artists that have been successful recently- most of them built up their Internet base ahead of time and took advantage of the Internet and the new media and so, I think that what you’ve got going, Skee, is the perfect platform for artists like myself.”
