In celebration of Black History month Hot 97’s Mister Cee welcomed legendary producer and DJ onto the first Black Fist Friday Takeover to spin during the Throwback At Noon mix. After taking over the airwaves, Pete Rock sat down with Mister Cee to talk about his iconic career. Rock also talked about working with Heavy D and if the unreleased tracks will ever surface.

“We did one song, it’s like popp-ish hip hop, but it’s dope. God does things for a reason, before he passed, I spent hella time with him. Like one whole weekend with him, spent the night, made the music, ate well, drank well, we did it up.”

Last month, we caught wind of the details of Pill’s departure from Maybach Music Group and his reasoning for leaving. Through it all Rick Ross has remain silent until recently when MTV News asked Rozay to speak on the situation. Looks like all is fine and both are moving on.

“Pill’s situation was a special situation because he was already signed to Warner before I did my label deal at Warner. So when I did do my deal, it was a business opportunity that was presented where Pill could run with the team for a year. Certain things happen for certain people at certain times and none of us could really predict that,” he explained. I couldn’t predict that Meek Mill would bring ‘Ima Boss’ to me or we couldn’t predict that Wale would bring ‘That Way.’ ”

“Hopefully, in the future he’ll bring him a hit record, and get him some paper and do his thing,” he said. “I wish him much success.”

Living young, wild and free with lots of money isn’t as good as it sounds according to Wiz Khalifa’s interview with Sway on Shade 45. Despite being ranked at the No. 11 spot on Forbes’ 2011 Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, earning nearly $11 million, Wiz Khalifa revealed that he won’t be just rapping about the good life in his Prodigy inspired, upcoming sophomore album titled “O.N.I.F.C.”. The Pittsburgh MC said Prodigy’s debut album in 2000, “Head Ni*** In Charge”, inspired him to title his second album, explicitly standing for “Only Ni*** In First Class”.

“It’s inspired by Prodigy’s H.N.I.C. When he dropped that, I felt like that sounded so strong and it really meant something, and it had the ‘n’ word in it, and I wanted to figure out something that was me too.”

“I was just talking about me being a young rich dude and being black. It looks crazy to them when I walk up to them and show them my ticket or I’m going in priority seating, They’re like ‘You’re sure?’”

Wiz also said while the he’s enjoying the successes, it has also come with experiencing the bad.

“It’s a good feeling and then it’s like a bad feeling because it’s like, ‘Damn, why do you feel like that about me.’”
